Saving...
U.S. ARMY FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MD. Nov. 25, 1942 Dearest. It has been a long time since I wrote a letter I couldn't get to write last nite had special duty until late as I remember I didnt feel so good when we were waiting for the buss but as soon as you were on I felt better you were in out of the weather. I went back to the barracks and it was warm for a change Bunce was feeling good he got his leave and is gone home now. I and another fellow did big things tonite as you already know the C.O. told us if we could get a plane we could go home and we got the reservation all right and if every thing works out all righ I will be in Des Moines the eve of Dec 2. If you can get enough gas to come to D.M. that will be good, and if you cant I will get home some other way I dont know any time to send you yet, if and when I get very much aroused to think that I will be able to see you at home it is our home and I like to be there with you
