U.S. ARMY FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MD. Nov 28. 1942 Dearest. I have been having a heck of a time trying to get to go home spent all evening last nite getting things partly straightened out the telegram came day before yesterday cashed it last nite got a pass to D.C. this afternoon got a ticket home sure, not so sure yet about a return, they think they will have it by Dec 7 leave D.M. at 12:00 noon. Now if I get my fourlough I will leave D.C. at 9:00 AM. ar. D.M. 3:00 PM Dec 2 the same day sure hope things work out all right, I want to come home The fellow that went to D.C with me is going to Denver he seems to have a lot of money at home the fare didnt bother him a bit, we were around the capital and a lot of other buildings they are hundreds' of government buildings best of all we went to the top of the
