Saving...
Dearest, A cooler spring day, but fine weather. I saw a truck with some people in it that reminded me of us about two years ago now. It was late afternoon over by 1 Ave & 19 St. We will go with the truck that way again. ¶ Are you getting to do the kind of job you got your choice of at Baltimore? Or are you doing Spartanburg stuff? Or maybe in printion (??) ahead of both of those? ¶ I'm going back to the the office tonight to dictate to Flora. I won't work late, but we want to get some old stuff finished up. I don't mind doing the work, but I surely do begrudge the time it takes to make the records, even when I do know the records are important. ¶ I've zipped out the chamois lining of my coat so you know I think it is pretty warm. I'll have to have the chamois repaired a little. I did not realize that until I had removed it from the coat. I'll take it to Mr. Krig (??) maybe. ¶ There are double the number of air cadets in in Coe now. There are as many of them probably as enrollment of students when I was there. So you see the town is becoming more soldier conscious all the time. You wouldn't be stared at now like you were because uniforms were seldom seen here. ¶ There is a little more space left tonight to tell you I'll be in the place you fixed, a little later. It has been good to be there all the time. Everything is about like you'd like it, and it seems like you are close. I love my husband. No matter what comes we will be able to beat it and have a good life together again. To my good laddie, Love, Laura [smiley face]
