Saving...
April 7, 1943 Dearest, Today was lovely again. After work I had to get the car serviced as I want to drive to D.M again for the annual meeting tomorrow. Then I had to hurry out to Kenwood Pres. Church for the nursing dinner. You remember how two years ago you took me out to the KV Cafe and I was on the program? Luella was there tonight. I wonder if she was two years ago as the committee members have remained a lot the same. An interesting speculation, don't you think now she is a kin of mine? Sherabeck called about house insurance and I have an appointment to discuss renewal of the policy on Friday. Betty and I have made plans to try to see each other a bit tomorrow. This letter will be mailed in D.M. I write of an evening or even finish the next morning and mail the letter sometime during the day. I'll take Kathryn & Mrs. Hunt in the Plymouth. Kath and I had to have midnight lunch of grapefruit, crackers & peanut butter! I ironed a slip and blouse to wear tomorrow. You'd find my spring hat something to behold! Small, black straw, red flowers, and veil. I love my husband like always and more too. Goodnight, laddie. Love, Laura
