know that while you can send so few letters, I'll get what you do write. And I don't know anyone to whom they could possible be one hundredth as important as to me! When no one else gets letters from you, then I can't hear any wild reports of how you are or what you are doing. I try to be decent and friendly to George's. And that means I must take the initiative and not expect any visible appreciation. Mother knew that, I'm sure I live and learn. I'm not feeling the least bit bad when I'm telling you this stuff.
