I went out to Linwood today. I had gone to Congregational church first, and I had done a lot of thinking. Do you remember I told you of my dream last September when you were home that Mother came back and said to me "You see! What did I tell you? I am all right!" and she was as natural as ever could be? I do not pretend a faith in dreams. And I certainly can't explain how life can endure and never end, really. Yet I do believe the lasting spiritual quality of human beings as definitely as if I could demonstrate it like a material thing. I think that idea is akin to the fact of love. We can't explain what all makes up love, yet we have the real love of a man and a woman. If humans can have and extend anything as good and lasting
