unseasonably cold weather I still have a furnace fire most of the time. I'll not be telling our grandchildren how I served in the Marines or any such glamorous job. Instead I'll tell them I shovelled coal the winter that grandpa was in Africa! I'm mighty glad I have the coal to shovel and am well able to do it. I know i've told you of the house decorating plans I have but I'll repeat them so you'll know if that letter was lost. Jack Laker is going to paint the ceilings in the living and dining rooms an ivory or some such shade. Then he'll paper the walls with paper like the sample enclosed. He will repair the plaster and cracks in the kitchen and paint it all an off white color. The dark doors will be
