Saving...
spout. Of all dumb things -- a birds nest got down into the pipe. He thought it blew out of the tree and down in a heavy rain. And to think of all the water I've had on the basement floor just because of that! I'm glad it is fixed and was nothing more serious than that. The child care program is going pretty well. We have new problems every day, but we beat them one by one. And because it is a pioneering job it is very interesting. Mrs Sloan is a perfect person to have in charge of the centers and the teachers. Now that we have four centers I just have the job of visiting parents and enrolling the children. I still keep general child welfare cases too all over the county besides the working parents ones in Cedar Rapids. We moved from Community House to Tyler School because we needed more space. We are also located in Fillmore and Van Buren Schools and the Mission Nursery is part of the system too. Mr. Deamer is all for our program now and he has done a lot of good things for it. It is not such a long letter tonight in the number of pages, but they are big pages. I'll be in my place soon. I still have my place fixed now that you're not in combat don't I? Love to my laddie Laura [doodle of two smiley faces]
