I have too much to say to make the pen do it well. That is just a temporarily handicapping item; we will take care of the important things right when we are together. I'm glad of our companionship, of our home. I'm proud you could do military service better than many young men. I'd be secretly sorry if you'd beat a retreat to the farm or tried something like that instead of the army. If you do each thing as it comes, and then are not always continued with the young men, that is all right. Our family is tough, you taught us that, remember? We don't need any false face between us, and I'm thankful to be the woman loved by you. I'm ready to be always your helpmeet, so you must keep me busy helping! This letter sounds so serious,
