you to be at home again. I'm better at being tough than I was the first summer you were in the army. And its not because I care less, but because I care better. It was a nice letter you wrote to Jack. He was pleased to get it and I'm pleased you thanked them so nicely. They have more sense and are more help than any of the other relatives and friends. And he writes you on his own and first without figuring you "owe" him letters. They invited he to read your letter so I did. That was thoughtful of them too and that let me see a letter from you two days in a row. They got yours the day after I did. I'm glad you sent me a letter a day as long as you were in the States. That is a nice memory when it is a long time now between letters. Maybe you
