5 the children's project. We are not yet caught up to the demand here for women to work, so I figure I'll have more child welfare work. Mother Davis gave her time to some of the organizations I've asked. And she had me get right out and volunteer when I came home too. She told me she thought anyone who had special education and experience should feel obliged to contribute their ability if Red Cross needed that type of job done. She said many could sew, make dressings, or do other jobs that took only time to learn. Women in the community should fall in and get the jobs done, according to what they knew how to do or could learn to do, she said. Womens Club, Red Cross, Community House she all helped.
