go with you to help select it, no choice could have pleased me more. We are far apart in miles on the globe's surface. Farther than we ever dreamed we would be. And I do not want this special note to drop with recollections so that my laddie will feel badly. We have learned, I believe, that miles as we measure 5280 feet do not really count. Before I had learned from you the real courage a soldier's wife can and must have, the distance to Camp Croft seemed unbearable. You loved me and helped me and taught me so that I could do better. I am proud of you. And I try to get on here in all ways that I think you would be able to approve. What you would think is the measuring stick I put to all things.
