When I get to thinking how I miss having you come home at a certain time, never having you here to hold me, then I remember other things. Like your unfailing consideration of me in both tiny and big things. And that we appreciated each other when we were together. We never took the wonder of love for granted; we were grateful and happy. We never claimed a "right" because of our ties, rather the opportunity to be a joy to each other in our life together. If we had been petty when at home, then those sentiments now would be false. But we had always, here and since you had to be away, a real companionship in our home.
