Saving...
The new Child Welfare worker arrived today - Miss Mansfield from Des Moines. Her office is just around the corner from mine, & she is busy getting organized. Reckon I shall be rattling around, feeling quite lost for a spell. The people in the house are very friendly, and those here at the hospital are very pleasant. But I shall no doubt be pretty much at loose ends for a time. Guess one can get used to anything, though. Perhaps I shall get a hope chest collected, after all! Let me know when you move to Cedar Rapids. I shall doubtless be going home more week-ends, and do want to see you. If you should be in Iowa City the house phone is 7420 - you know where the hospital is. I would like to hear how Slim's mother came out at Rochester. I was so sorry to hear about her. She has certainly had her share of trouble this past year. Laura, if you should ever see (Fold?), give him my best. I haven't been near anyone connected with Linn County since I left - and I must get up there soon. Write again and keep me up to date on things. Again my best wishes to you both. Sincerely Kathryn
