Saving...
I often wonder how Mrs. Davis is getting along. Suppose about the same as long as I hear nothing to the contrary. I don't imagine that you and Lloyd have been to Fort Dodge yet. At least I've not heard of your being there. Mother wrote a few lines last week. Apparently she was not so well the week before. Seems that she is alone as Aunt Bess took a trip to Excelsior Springs, Missouri with some of her friends. Thought I might go home next weekend, but guess I'll be too busy, considering that the remaining time is so short. I rented a cap and gown yesterday - optimist. So here's hoping. Could have rented a doctor's outfit for sixty-five cents more. Am wondering if it wouldn't have been worth the difference. They are trying to get rid of us early this year so they can grind out a regular quarter during the summer. Then too, there will be some eight-hundred navy men here in a continuous series of fourteen week training periods as electrician's mates. My vacation will be over in a couple of weeks. Then I'll have to go to work. Really I should do some studying right now. Write when you can. I'm always glad to hear from you. Love Maurice
