603 Grand ave. Ames, Iowa May 15, 1942 Dear Frances, Your letter came this morning. Thought I better answer it now so you will know my plans early. I'm not sure that I could go home with you if you came this way May 30. I have exams May 29 and 30 and also June 1 and 2. Graduation is June 5, at 7:30 in the evening. I believe the hour is correct; the date is. There is a possibility that I could go home with you. My exams on Saturday are from 8-10 in the morning. Perhaps I could bone up enough in the meantime for those on Monday + Tuesday. There is also this possibility if you care to consider it. Maybe you would rather not stop in Ames as it would be at least 10:30 before we could leave for home. I thought that if you could come to the graduation exercises, I might go to Cedar Rapids with you that evening. There is train out of here about 11 P.M., if you are that much of a night hawk. I could return here Saturday night,or Sunday morning June 7. Tom thought he would come and drag me
