May 21, 1942 Dear Laurie - Well, I saw June Hamm Crooks on Saturday and she referred me to the vacancy in Council Bluffs. Got an appointment and appeared on Tuesday. The present vacancy is in OAA under a self made man to whom carter was a bit patronizing. He could teach me OAA procedures. Wonder what he would be like if Carter feels much more the social worker?
