Saving...
like the small. Carter had a couple of applicants with some experience he was going to see yesterday and today. Then he'd let me know. There will other openings later in the relief department when a couple of men leave for the army. Anyhoo - I can cuss and discuss the matter with you personally the first of the week. Have to be in Iowa City Wednesday AM for the orals. Bette mailed the card today. It will be a good chance for a break away which I could never accomplish otherwise. Macey and Mother both moody, but maybe I've helped and maybe I haven't. It's pretty hard to tell what the thing adds up to. Mother feels there's more permanency, Macey likes the apartment better, and maybe my missionary work helped - I dunno. See you come Tuesday - hunh? B.W.
