Saving...
about becoming a patient there? Do they have graduated rates, or are all patients public cases? Bess and I have been sending her money for her Excelsior Springs (it's a health resort) venture - so far has taken $175. If this is going on and on, I don't know as we could keep on financially. Dad might help. Don't know if he would or not. But I thought you would know if she might expect to get adequate care at Iowa City and under what circumstances she could become a patient. If not, perhaps you can find out. Poor old soul, I doubt if her chances of getting better are very great, but of course, she will want to try. Guess the primitive "will to live" accounts for the survival of the species. Anyhow, if you can tell me anything about Iowa City it may be a help. Heard from mama this week. She is around & doing the housework, after a fashion. She gets very lonely when she gets no letters. Hope everything is O.K. for you. Love, S.H.
