Saving...
Of course houses are scarce, but I need only a room. Was Lucky in having this one all ready and waiting when I reported for work. Had visions of running from house to house looking for a room. Was though Cedar Rapido a couple timeo in getting this job, but didn't have time to stop. Transplantation is poor out of here, considering all the trains and buses which ro through and don't stop at all or maybe only in the .... hours. One train goes only as far as Clinton, with no connexion for over two hours. And all this in the middle of the night. Maybe you've been busy going relief to stukers' families. Saw in the Gazette that the Linn (board?) approved of relief for them. Guess it's all right fir everyone to stuke, but on stuker would be just a lazy loafer. Perhaps you can explain. Love, Maurice.
