trying to keep her from doing that, until I know whether the present affair is just "a flyer" or the right thing. I'm just beginning to fight - a man terribly in love with her. If the affair already has has too many credits for me to over come, I see no reason to drag out the agony it would cause both of us, by holding her to her promise not to marry until I get out of the Army. (this last in an almost inaudible breath). Please write the facts or what you can tell me as coldly & clearly as you can. Would you Air-Mail them? I'm sorry I have been the "big ego" in this note.
