Date Loaf - Jean 2 cups - sugar 1 cup milk 1 tbsp. butter Boil until it forms a soft ball in cold water Add 1 package (1/2 lb.) of dates seeded and cooked until dates are tender. Add nuts of any kind. Take from fire, cool, beat until it foms a stiff paste. Wet a cloth, lay candy on it & roll into shape. Cool & slice
