PVT. LLOYD DAVIS 37420240 CO.F INF. A.P.O. 759 POSTMASTER- NEW YORK NEW YORK. MR + MRS EARL MCILVAIN 1645- 2ND. AVE. S.E. CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA APRIL 1, 1943 Dear Lloyd, Just a few lines to tell you we think of you often. We were glad to hear you arrived safely and are well. We see Laura often and she is fine. Earl is as busy as ever at the factory and when I work days and the evenings we dont have a lot of time to-gether but we are well and happy and that is the important things. Early sees Ray + Jordan at the factory nearly every day. Laura + I were out to see Annie + Emily the other nite. Renier girls have measles now. Earl says to tell you if you don't get home soon he thinks he will have to come and help you. Good luck - Sincerely Hazel.
