Nov. 21, 1944 Dear Lloyd: Get a good grip on your chair so you don't fall off. How is everything in sunny France. Hope this letter finds you feeling fine. Hazel and I and Lloyd Jr. were over to see Laura one evening last week. She is getting along fine but could use a man of the house. Hope you will be there before another Christmas rolls around. Do you see any of our equipment over there. If you see any tank retrievers made by Freuhauf Trailer Co. you will know we made the main frames, fenders and ramps for them. Dick Burlinghame is a burner on them and he asks about you quite often. I live next door to Jordan now and we ride to work together. Jordan is the best milling machine operator in the factory. He does all the high precision tool work. I see Neenian Steele every day. Same old Steele. I told him we would be down one evening this week and he said to let him know when.
