2. Our quota for the Student Nurse Reserve was eight but nine were enrolled. Several were given assignments but only three were called to the service, one went to Camp Wheeler in Georgia, one to Agatha Hospital, Clinton, Iowa, and one to Mercy Hospital Marshalltown, Iowa. There was no Chairman for Women in our County for the first three Liberty Loans but in the Fourth Loan the County chairman of the Womans Committee C. N. D. served. The allotment plan was used and the funds divided equally between the Men's and Women's Committees, $607,100 being the amount for each. A speaking contest was held in one school and the diploma given to the best speaker. The same allotment plan is to be used for the Victory Loan and the same chairman will serve. Much use was made of the Press in all departments of the Woman's Committee the newspapers of the county kindly furnishing space for all articles sent. When its all on paper it looks very little but what was accomplished could not have been done without my faithful helpers and the hearty co-operation of the splendid women in Grundy County. Sincerely, Bertha K. Sargeant
