any use for two kodacs, but he said I could use his and not Ed's, in such case. I said, "Well, I suppose I could give one of them away at Christmas." As it happened, I gave Ed's back to him last summer in a little fit of temper, but here is little Hy, to keep me company. Isn't he a funny sort? I hope the army life will make a man of him. I've often wondered whether I'd have felt more cordial to him had he been a white man instead of a Swede, but it's hard telling.
