Saving...
of the fact that I go to such pains to assure you of my faithfulness. Am I right? I am not clever. If I were, I should not be so frank and open. Still, you love me enough that I don't need to be artificial or calculating in what I say to you. I can bare my heart to you as I never have to anyone else. We are not playing a game. We are really in love, and we belong to each other, and, under the circumstances which we are now obliged to endure, perhaps we need to be as naive and confiding as children in voicing our affection to make up for the loss of the comfort of being in each others arms and feeling the caress of lips to lips. Daphne, sweetheart, do you know how passionately I love you? I think of you and ache with longing for you always. Your hubby, Con. Conger Reynolds 2nd Lt. A.G.D.
