becoming closer every day, and we congratulate you for the precious aid that your troops have given to our soldiers in helping them drive back the enemy at Chateau Thierry. Our section of France can now see the approach of its liberation; the American army has contributed its part in this and we will be sure to remember it. Mr. Hartzell is still with us; and we regret that you can no longer share our evenings with us We would have been glad to have had you here the 14th of July, a holiday for you as well as for us Mr. Hartzell was with us that day and we all had a fine time
