The day we left Rich Hill five letters came walking in. Mathilde had sent them on, and I read them on the train. I hate so to travel in hot weather on such lines as we have down here, and especially now when the service is so poor. I suppose I appear dreadfully unpatriotic because I am traveling just now but I have to cover all this ground in order to get up north and these stop-overs don't count.
