the worst of it is he's married! Listen to some more: he is a preacher and a Methodist at that. Nothing like the portly Jimmy. Far be it! This one is a veritable Apollo (help!) He is well educated, and a good talker. Too good, in fact. He leaves me no chance to get in a word. It makes no difference what time of the day the fancy seizes him, down he comes and here he stays and stays and stays. Last night we all planned on going to the movies and just as we were ready to start, here comes my little friend, and here he stays for over an hour. Of course that made the first show impossible, but we did get to see the second one. The baby came walking into the parlor and said "Bye-bye, mans." I guess Brother Meade took the hint. Later we saw him at the show. He is the most broad minded minister I ever saw in a Methodist pulpit
