Sixty-Nine May 4, 1918 Dearest,- Since your detective story upset me three more letters have arrived and, reading them, I have recovered my balance. You may go to Kansas City again if you will write me another letter like the one you produced there March 31. It walked in this evening while I was hard at work. As the orderly laid it on my desk I gave it a hurried glance, noticing only that it was a letter from a hotel, and said to myself, "At last dear Hy is writing to me." There is always the picture of a hotel on the envelope of a letter
