May 22, 1918. 2:35 a.m. Dear Conger: - Your dear wife and I are both writing to you at this time because for her it is an evening off and for me a night on. Yes, I am C.O. of the Division again with flowers on my desk. Yesterday I received from Macetta a letter that told of having received a very dear letter from your Daphne. I am glad that they have started getting acquainted with each toher. Colman Frank sent me a parcel that was delivered by a correspondent yesterday. If you had any hand in passing it along, I thank you. It contained my summer underwear, which I was beginning to need badly.
