134 August 3, 1918 My Dearest,- My luck continues at 100 per cent. This is the third day in succession that has brought me letters from you. There were two today. And the sweater! What do you make of that, Watson? The sweater has at last arriv. Your good solid box was quite intact and the sweater safe inside. I'll not draw a picture this time of how I look in it, but having just tried it on I can assure you that it is exactly right. It fits snugly just as I hoped it would. I wish you could see how smoothly it fits. You could not have done have better if you had woven it about me. And it is wonderfully soft and warm. I shall regard the approach of winter now with no apprehension. I
