August 5, 1918 My dear mother,- I have another fine letter from you, which has helped a lot to keep up my morale. It was a shame that my letters had to be so delayed in reaching you. As matters turned out I might better have sent them in Juliet's care. But at the time I wrote them it seemed best to send them to Cottey. If you are in Cedar Rapids now you no doubt are hearing from me without delay because since early in July I have been addressing letters to Daphne - and one or two to you to Juliet's house. As I wrote Daphne last night I am well satisfied with her determination to take things easy in Cedar Rapids rather
