ressmen are vastly to be preferred to highly efficient warlords of another well-known form of government. F'rinstance I wouldn't dare write anything like this under the other form, as an American it's my high privilege to knock the lawmakers if I don't like 'em. A year ago tomorrow I was commissioned. Since then my wildest hopes of what that would mean have been more than fulfilled. But the fulfillment has been dimmed in its glory by the sidetracking of my interest to certain developments which I did not then exactly foresee. And I should gladly trade the whole of my delights in adventure for one of your kisses. I'm wild about you. Conger.
