rocks. I couldn't resist crossing by stepping from one rock to another. And when I had crossed I came back because there had been nothing to cross for except to see how it could be done. Bye and bye I came to the path leading uphill past the chalet and along old tumbling stone walls under the pines. I didn't stick to the path all the way because I wanted to tramp in the moss that lay thick and soft under the trees. The incline is very abrupt, and I got a good workout going up.
