9/ /18 Dear Conger:- I wonder if that sounds as strange to you as it looks to me. Some how it don't wound as strange to say it as it does to write it for Daphne talks so much of you that I have come to feel that I really know you. I have been promising myself to write you ever since Daphne's letter came announcing her marriage and am heartily ashamed that I have not done so ere this. My personal correspondence is one of the things I delay as long as possible in hopes that I will have an idle day to revote to letter writing and as that never happens my
