out there was the day of my luncheon. She was sick then but we didn't dream of it being Influenza. She chilled a lot but we laid it to the asperin she'd been taking for her head. I reckon we kissed each other a million times -- right on the mouth -- and I went home and decided to be sick, too. Ernest was so good to me. He was here three times a day and finally brought the Doctor. I insisted that I was able to be up and didn't require any medicine, but he brought Dr. Brown without so much as a "by your leave, lady," and that old fool dug up a high temperature and made me stay in bed. After that, I was sick. It's all over now, but they won't let me out. I've been up and down stairs several times, but
