scheme. They need some one at the War Authority Bureau, and that work would give me more time to do things for myself. I'm scared to death you'll come home and find I've not been making as many things as I should have, but if you will just hurry home I shan't care much about anything else. Everyone has been wild with anticipation since the big news. The boys in camps here are expected home before Christmas, and many of them before Thanksgiving. Oh wouldn't it be simply heavenly If we might have Christmas eve together again! And Christmas! I fancy I'd not sit knitting, too skeered to look up, and you'd not be writing to every Tom, Dick and Harry on earth. I wonder now that you didn't think of the city directory that night! You might have seen some names in it that would have reminded you of some one else
