This is our eleventh monthly anniversary, belovedest. Only married eleven months and war all the time! That's some record. I'm glad you've decided to cut it out, and I'd be so happy if you'd even hint at what you think you'll do next. I thought surely your cable would read that you were coming home at once. The papers are not very encouraging. They seem to intend sending everyone but my husband home on the very next boat. Be exciting if you had to stay! I reckon there'd be an out burst in this direction, unless they let me go to you. Two letters from you came today and are the first in ages. I've worried more the past two weeks than all the rest of the time put together. It seems that since the war is over I'm constantly afraid something else will happen. Don't consider me a dub for this, dear. You wont, will you? One letter contained your "label". I could bump that major the big stiff. I'd like to call him that just because you can't.
