Saving...
2 place in Iowa City. Rumors have reached me of a surprisingly good football season, but I know no details. And many questions that arise is my mind as my interest turns again to affairs of civil life have for the time no answer. I hope soon to get in better touch. Now that the main task is finished the hope of nearly every member of the A.E.F. is to return home soon. I am struggling against impatience, realizing that a good soldier must wait until his turn comes in the regular course of events. I feel certain at least that I shall be back in plenty of time for preparation for the next academic year. It will be good to get back. With my good wishes to all the great University family, Sincerely, Conger Reynolds You may be interested in knowing that I was advanced a grade from October 8. I did not learn of it myself until November 25 owing to the slowness with which notices of promotions come from Washington after recommendations are made. C.R. Conger Reynolds 1st Lt. A.G.D.
