such a good time that day, and wanted you so much. I can't help thinking of a year ago, tho really I'm trying not to because it makes me long for you so much more. I remember New Years eve when Mrs. Dingbat made her offering of egg nogg. Honey chile, you'll never know how full of tears I was all that day and evening. It was so hard to keep them back. New Years day meant--oh so many things. I couldn't begin to express it. I'd do it badly and ruin the sentiment, but you'll understand. It was the beginning, really, of my life and everything was so uncertain that I couldn't help worrying about you. Dear, I love you so devotedly! This New Years day the family spent planning our wedding. Oh, yes! We played Pit and I wish you might have seen your dignified big brother. I sat and laughed my fool head off watching him. He'd get to within one or two cards of his "corner" and then he'd get excited.
