Saving...
and some actually going, and every thing I love best pulling me toward home. The distraction of a new job and new atmosphere that featured last month is wearing off. In its place I have as yet no definite knowledge of what will happen in the future. That is trying. But I have abiding faith that I'm going to get my orders to go before Easter. That is sustaining. When I got a lieutenant assigned last week as my assistant I saw visions of gradually shifting the burden to him preparatory to folding my tent and silently stealing away, But he has gone down ill, making it necessary for me to hold up my plan until he recovers or get someone to replace him. This is my last sheet of stationery - worse luck - so I'll have to hurry to say that I'm very, very, very, very much in love with you, sweetheart, and very devotedly Your hubs Conger.
