Saving...
PM Paris February Three. 1919 My Dearest, - I'm home early tonight. So, having shaved and cleaned up for dinner like a civilized being, I am sitting under the mellow glow of a little electric table lamp writing to you before dinner. It gives me a lot of quiet pleasure to be living this way again; it's almost as if I were in my own home - almost except for the rather important lack of Friend Wiffles. No doubt it would be much different if she were here. F'rinstance I'd have to shave every fifteen minutes. But I wouldn't have to write; I could substitute a nice little conference in the divan and perhaps get a pat on the head such as I miss now.
