Feb. 5th '19 My Dearest, - Wasn't it queer that the Y.M.C.A. check arrived on the same date at the Farmer's Loan and both were dated Jan. 31st & I suppose you must have been paid by now. Poor you! I've worried so about you being without sufficient funds, but I'm hoping it is all fixed now. I'd a letter from Maura tonight announcing another contract of $550.00. This is the fourth, I believe, and she has landed a couple that Fred said were almost out of the question. She feels awfully good about it, and so of course I do, too. Dear, I'm about fed up on this in-door sport of stuffing the furnace & building fires. I haven't any business writing to you tonight because I'm tired and as near blue as I can get.
