Friday Morning February 7. 1919 Sweetestheart, For a change I choose early morning as the time for a letter to you. Last night I went to sleep in the midst of the conversation after dinner, and when I awoke didn't hesitate about getting to bed. In consequence I was ready to get up when morning came. After I wrote to you Wednesday evening I had a wild time carrying out the wish of General Pershing Arriving at my apartment at 10 o'clock I found a note saying General Pershing wanted to see Mr. Forest before Mr. F left Paris.
