Saving...
the letter on which I bank to get my sailing orders. My two months here will be up on March 6. I am asking to be relieved and sent home then. Of course I've asked to get home before but not formally, because I knew conditions were such that I had no chance. This time I'm more hopeful. I certainly will give my chiefs something to think about in the reasons I'll urge. I've studied the situation carefully to be sure of my ground and rewritten my letter several times to get it in the form most likely to do the work. It's my trump card. Everything hinges on what result it gets. Pity me for the suspense I'll have to undergo waiting for the answer. If the request is granted - Heaven! I love you. Conger
