of your evidently critical situation on funds measures I have already taken will help some. When you wrote $100 was on the way to you and I have since then sent $150 more. That makes $250. Did the Y.M.C.A. ever deliver $100 to you? The only other thing I can do is to ask my bank here to release some money it has on time deposit. That will take time. The money can't be made available in less than thirty days. But if I send a check to Mr. McChesney good in thirty days he will be covered on any over-drafts. Then when the money becomes available you can use it to repay Ernest any amount he may have furnished for us and to meet other needs. I'll send $250 that way if possible. Then at the end of this month I can send $100 more out of my February pay. That will give you $350 in March, which ought to straighten everything all right. Just to show me how much you love me, girl, won't you tell me when you receive the money I send? Write me a letter the same day it comes. And keep me informed occasionally of what your balance is. Above all, sweetheart, don't worry. Things are a bit tangled but they'll come out all right. The tangle is not your fault it's Mr. McChesney's and mine. But we have or will get the money that is missing. Probably
