happy if you weren't doing it but I can't think of any good reason why you shouldn't if you want to. It was indeed complimentary of Mr. McConnel to take you as a regular on the condition you laid down. I always suspected you were a smart and versatile young woman. And I love you to pieces for keeping the way open to come to me on a moment's notice. Really, you must do that. After such a long separation I can't do without you a moment longer than necessary. I need you much worse than Arthur School does, just as I have told my chief that you need me more than the A.E.F. does, unless I'm to go straight to the west without delay you must come to New York or Washington or wherever I'm to be to meet me.
