February 17, 1919 My dear Wiffles, - Today came a letter from Captain Stone saying that on March 1 the Personnel Bureau would be asked to issue orders permitting me to go home, that they would reach me about the sixth and that I might then go on my way to you rejoicing. That just about assures my leaving France in March. I'll go to the Embarkation Camp immediately after the orders come. Heaven only knows how long I shall have to wait there for ship space, but it probably will not be more than two weeks. Just now the big thing is that I am to be allowed to go. It's almost too good to come true. I am holding my breath for fear something will happen to cause me to be held, and I shall not really be positive that
